Sharing a few more HDRs
I went out the other afternoon to practice 360 HDR captures with a nodal ninja. I used my fisheye lens so the resolution on these isn’t terribly high (4k), but they may be useful in some situations (GPU rendering/lighting/product vis/etc.). Anyway, thought I’d share ‘em. Read on for images and download link.
Here are some small preview images of the ten HDRs:
They can be downloaded in one 7zip package from HERE.
I used 7zip to archive these since it seems to produce the smaller file sizes than WinRAR or WinZip. The 7zip program is free and can be downloaded from HERE.
Licensing: Please feel free to use these for both commercial and personal works.
Sample render using one of the HDRs (VRay r/t):

Enjoy!

hi jeff.
i`m in a pickle right now.
you know all the stupid bugs in mentalray proxy which cuased max to crash in previous version have been eliminated. okey thats good
but
in max 2012 a single proxy of 300,000 poly tree stores more than 60 MB of HD.
it`s awful.
in the scene i`m working now i have 4 cars and a bunch of trees. they took almost 400MB of HD and take for ever to marge in to the scene and also , takes about 10 minutes of pause in between the teleprocessing and rendering phase.
sorry for the long write.
i would really appreciated if you tale your time to read it
thanks
Thanks Jeff.
They are really nice ones.

How can I use Lance Effect In Iray
The mental ray lens effects or 3ds Max lens effects aren’t compatible with iray. You’ll have to add them in post, which is typically a better process anyway.
Jeff, you know what woul make a nice HDR image?
Go to into an indoor Mall before it opens(or at closing time)
(they usually allow people in to walk around for exercise,
less people to deal with that way)
anyhow..
i think the different colors and reflections in a mall would be good,
along with the high ceilings (especially if you go to a mall with 2 levels or more)
maybe a couple of them in different spots..
What is the license? Can it be used comercially?
Yes, people may use them for both personal and commercial works if desired.
What’s the licensing? CC0?
Didn’t want to use them and run into troubles down the road.
Uh, gawd, sorry, didn’t get through all of the comments. Thanks Jeff!
No worries, I’ve just updated the original post to include licensing info as I should have listed it there to begin with.
awesome thanks!
Thank you, very much
