A couple of very handy shaders were introduced in 3ds Max 2010.  The bump and displacement combiners.  Then for some odd reason they were removed/hidden in 3ds Max 2011 and apparently this is the case again in 3ds Max 2012.

Unfortunately I can’t bring back the original bump/displacement material because I just don’t know how.  However, after digging through the .mi files I have found a hidden shader that will allow this functionality.  Read on for the goods. Read more
